Americas Without Sanctions Campaign

A campaign to end all unilateral coercive measures imposed on the countries of the Americas, specifically those harming the peoples of Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Economic coercive measures, commonly referred to as “sanctions,” are a form of warfare that brings suffering and death to the most vulnerable populations in the targeted country—children, the elderly, the sick, and the poor.

I am well aware of US interference in Central and South America. I was living in Ecuador where I married my American husband, when Salvador Allende of Chile was assassinated by the CIA. Already passionate about politics, I began to concentrate on American Foreign Policy in Latin America. I have concluded that none of those countries are safe from the controlling colonial fingers of the USA. They have destroyed the social fabric of many countries and just walk away with no demonstration of remorse what so ever. I have yet to find an answer to my question about which authority has the power to endow one country with the right to sanction other sovereign countries.
